A new society has been formed

for all those interested in pelargoniums and geraniums.

 

It is called the
Pelargonium and Geranium Society
and comes from the merging of the British Pelargonium and Geranium Society and the British and European Geranium Society on 1st January 2009.

 

The Inaugural Business and Information meeting will be at 11am on 14th March 2009 followed by the First General Meeting at 2pm, when the first election of officers will be held to replace, or confirm, the Acting Management Committee, formed of committee members of the two old societies. The Venue is in Broughton Astley, in Leicestershire. Details available from the Acting Secretary (see below).

The First National Show of the new society will be on Saturday, 20th June 2009, at the Greene King Stadium (previously Marston F.C. Stadium), Leicester Road, Hinckley, Leicestershire, LE10 3DR, from 1pm to 4.45pm. Schedules will automatically be sent out with the Spring issue of "Pelargonium and Geranium New" to all who join the new Society. Membership subscriptions for PGS or PAGS start on 1st January 2009 and are: £10 single (UK); £12 joint (at the same address) (UK); £5 Junior (under 16)(UK); £150 Life membership (UK); £15 Affiliated Society (UK); £15 Individual / Affiliated Society subscription in Europe; £20 Individual / Affiliated Society subscription Outside Europe.
